PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Module 1: Foundations of AI in medicine
Gain essential knowledge on machine learning, deep learning, large language models, virtual human twins, telemedicine, wearable devices, and virtual operating rooms. This foundation prepares participants to understand the technological underpinnings of modern medical innovation. - Module 2: Clinical applications across specialties
Explore practical implementations of AI across medical disciplines including emergency medicine, pediatrics, radiology, pathology, solid organ transplantation, surgery, etc. Examine how these technologies enhance diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and patient outcomes in real clinical settings. - Module 3: Ethics, privacy, and regulatory frameworks
Address the crucial ethical considerations, data protection requirements, and regulatory compliance standards for AI in healthcare. Learn to navigate the complex intersection of innovation and responsibility in both European and American contexts.

UNIVERSITY CREDITS

DATES
From July 6 to 17, 2026 (48 hours of effective teaching).
ELIGIBILITY
This program is designed for all medical students, physicians, engineers and data scientists (whatever their experience) interested in the intersection of healthcare, artificial intelligence and digital tools. Participants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as interdisciplinary collaboration is essential to advancing AI applications in medicine.
AGE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Participants must be at least 18 years old by July 6, 2026.
- A functional level of English (A2/B1 or equivalent) is recommended.
- The Summer School is open to students with a secondary school diploma ; students enrolled in an institution of higher education ; university graduates.
Please note : personal electronic device (tablet or laptop) will be required for coursework.

- An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- A short cover letter outlining the motivations and objectives behind applying to the program (max 1 page, i.e. max 400 words)

FEES
Program fee per student : 2 500€, which includes :
- All courses in English

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
- A joint first day with Hands-on training and clinical medicine and emergencies Summer School participants will be organized with high-level talks and interactive events.
- A full social event program will be proposed, with cultural visits, weekend outings and tips to enjoy France Bastille day celebrations (July 14th), a bank holiday in France.
ACCOMODATION
Accommodation is not included, but preferential-rate options will be offered to participants before their arrival, on a first-come, first-served basis.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Summer School is unable to offer any scholarships. Prospective participants are encouraged to check with their home universities and local embassies for potential funding opportunities.
VISA AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Depending on your nationality, a visa may be required to take part in this program. We recommend that you consult the relevant visa and passport requirements for entry into France (https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/your-arrival-in-france).
HEALTH & TRAVEL INSURANCE
Participants are responsible for obtaining valid personal health insurance for the entire duration of the program. In addition, coverage for repatriation and civil liability is strongly recommended.
