Organised by the National Centre for Scientific and Technical Research (Morocco) and Mohammed V University in Rabat, the international final of the My Thesis in 180s competition took place on Thursday, October 5th 2023, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Camille Lakhlifi, a candidate from Université Paris Cité, represented France at the final, won first prize thanks to her perfectly executed performance, in terms of both form and content.

“After submitting my manuscript last week, this international final is really the cherry on the cake! It was a unique opportunity not only to meet PhD students from a wide range of disciplines and nationalities, but also to present my work in front of my family in Morocco, which was very moving for me.

Once again, I’m extremely lucky to have such an exceptional professional, family and friendly environment, and this has enabled me to take this wonderful adventure all the way to the end. Thank you!” Camille Lakhlifi

Université Paris Cité warmly congratulates Camille! This year, 20 candidates competed in this high-level science popularisation exercise! They brilliantly represented France, Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Switzerland, Ireland (this year’s guest country), Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Gabon, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, the Republic of Moldova, Niger, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia.
