APPROACH AND METHOD FOR HRS4R

In February 2024, UPCité launched the European HRS4R initiative, aimed at improving its human resources practices and creating a more favourable working environment for researchers, while strengthening the attractiveness of its research careers. This institutional and voluntary approach reflects a commitment to continuous improvement and represents the university’s longterm dedication to the scientific community.

A THREE-STEP APPROACH TO SUPPORT OUR RESEARCHERS, FACULTY MEMBERS, AND RESEARCH SUPPORT STAFF

Within the HRS4R framework, the term “researcher” is defined inclusively to encompass all individuals engaged in scientific research activities, regardless of their level of experience or employment status. At UPCité, this includes both permanent and contractual staff, as well as faculty members, researchers, and research support staff. The European Commission, classifies them according to their level of experience from R1 to R4. The HRS4R label is a structured and long-term commitment, organised into three phases:
